Monir Shahroudy Farmanfarmaian – Tehran/New York
The first Nordic solo show of one of Iran's most influential artists.
Monir Shahroudy Farmanfarmaian (1922–2019) lived and worked in Tehran and New York. Her art is defined by geometric abstraction, reflective materials and plant forms, drawing on Iran's visual culture and post-war modernism. Nearly one hundred works are on view – from her kaleidoscopic mirror mosaics to calligraphic drawings, collages and large sculptures. The exhibition later travels to Madrid and The Hague.
